Shelf Life does not collect, store, or share your personal data.
Everything you add to Shelf Life — grocery items, quantities, storage locations, purchase and expiry dates — is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework, and synced only through your own private iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). We do not operate any server, and we have no access to your inventory data.
Shelf Life uses your device's camera and, optionally, your photo library to scan grocery receipts and barcodes. All image processing (text recognition and barcode detection) happens entirely on your device using Apple's Vision and VisionKit frameworks. Photos and receipt images are never uploaded anywhere, never sent to us, and never sent to any third party.
Shelf Life contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because we do not track you.
Shelf Life Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information — Apple handles billing directly per its own standard terms.
Shelf Life is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
