Caffff — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Caffff (“the app”, “we”) is a caffeine-tracking app. This policy explains what data the app handles and, more importantly, what it does not do. The short version: Caffff has no servers of its own, no analytics, and no tracking. Your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud account.
Data you enter
The drinks you log (caffeine amount, time, and an optional drink name), your custom drinks, and your settings (target bedtime, sleep-safe threshold, caffeine half-life, language, and toggles) are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your logged drinks and custom drinks sync across your own devices through Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud database. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no server and cannot see, access, or receive this data.
Health data
Caffff can, only with your explicit permission:
- Read your sleep analysis samples (Caffff Pro) to show how caffeine at bedtime relates to your sleep. This reading happens entirely on your device.
- Write your logged caffeine to Health as dietary-caffeine samples, only if you turn that option on.
Health data is never transmitted off your device by Caffff and is never sent to us or any third party. It is handled under Apple’s HealthKit privacy rules. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices.
Purchases
Caffff Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple’s App Store. All payment and subscription processing is handled by Apple. Caffff receives only the entitlement status (whether Pro is active) from Apple’s StoreKit; we do not receive your name, card, or Apple ID.
What we do NOT collect
Caffff contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party
data collection. We do not collect your identity, location, contacts, or usage
patterns. The app’s Apple PrivacyInfo manifest declares no tracking and no
collected data types.
Data deletion
Deleting a logged drink removes it from the app (and its corresponding Health sample, if you enabled Health writing). Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To remove synced data from iCloud, sign in to iCloud and delete the app’s data, or delete the app on all devices.
Children
Caffff is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children. Caffeine tracking is intended for adults.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change and the new version will ship with the app.
